Johan Moelich was a sub-consultant to Scott Madden, a management consulting firm, to provide facility related management consulting and project management services on their project for the Michigan Electric Transmission Company (METC). Scott Madden’s assignment included the overall management of a project to create an organization, systems, procedures and facilities to allow METC to monitor and control the high voltage electrical transmission system in about 70% of Michigan State. Johan contributed facility management services, which included development of a facility strategy for the business.
Johan also provided project management leadership to create a new Transmission Control Centre, a mission critical facility, designed to withstand 250 mph winds and redundant building systems (Uptime Institute Tier III). We developed the requirements program, identified real estate options, led the selection and procurement of a suitable site, led risk management activities, assembled the professional design team, selected a qualified local construction manager and provided overall management of the planning, design, construction, commissioning and occupancy process.
